Get ready for a sneak peek inside one of the world’s most luxurious holiday resorts; the Baha Mar in the Bahamas. The 1000-acre complex cost £3.4billion to build and is made up of three five-star hotels; the Rosewood, SLS and Grand Hyatt. It can cater up to 7,000 guests at any one time, and reportedly hosts nearly one million holidays a year. In fact it’s so big, it even has its own electricity plant. Now, new Channel 5 documentary Secrets of the Mega Resort reveals just what goes on behind-the-scenes at this immense complex, meeting with some of the 5,000 staff members of staff who keep everything running smoothly. Unsurprisingly, everything about the resort is extravagant, from the opulent suites to the 40 restaurants and bars (including bars where cocktails are dispensed by a computer), sports facilities and of course those world-famous Bahamas beaches.
